It is important to note that BWCA entry permits are reserved on a first come, first serve basis so the earlier you reserve your trip the better chance you have of securing the best entry point.

Fly-In Canoe Trips

This is the ultimate wilderness canoe trip! Grab your gear and hop into a floatplane for your flight over the canoe country. See the wilderness through the eyes of an eagle as you soar over miles of uninhabited lakes and forest. After you touch down, your gear is placed into your Kevlar canoe ready to explore. Then head out for 5 to 7 or more days of exploration into some of the most picturesque, "fish-filled" areas of the Northwoods. This is the ultimate adventure.

IMPORTANT: You must have and bring your Passport to take a fly-in or fly-out canoe trip.

Fly-in Canoe Trips

Float planeBelow is information about taking a fly-in canoe trip. Fly-in trips can be in Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) or Canada's Quetico Provincial Park. All flights will land on a lake in Canada (shown on the map below) and you will begin your trip from there. Both wilderness areas have their own rules and fees. In either case (a BWCA trip or a Quetico trip) we will reserve your entry permit and make all the trip arrangements for your group.

Fly-In Options
All flight costs are per flight and based on trips with 4 people.
For more or less than 4 people call for pricing.
Flight costs range from $1450-$2100 per plane
(One plane will hold up to 4-people and 2 canoes)

Quetico Fly-In Trips:
Lac La Croix, Cache Bay, Beaverhouse, Clay Lake

When outfitted by Boundary Waters Outfitters you can expect the best in equipment and customer service. We begin each trip with an orientation on the wilderness are you are about to enter (wilderness rules, map routing, fishing q's and tactics) followed by a full equipment and food review.

Included with each fully outfitted package is:

● Complete gear and food orientation & detailed trip routing upon arrival
